Finland’s main opposition leader Antti Lindtman demanded a halt to government plans that would remove legal restrictions on nuclear weapons from Finnish law, calling for a cross-party review of the country’s nuclear policy after talks with President Alexander Stubb and party leaders in Helsinki on Friday. Lindtman, who leads the Social Democratic Party, said the government should suspend its legislative proposal and allow parliament parties to assess Finland’s nuclear policy through a temporary parliamentary working group.
