Private social services wage negotiations collapse

Wage negotiations in Finland’s private social services sector have ended without agreement after weeks of talks, affecting around 72,000 workers including practical nurses. The talks, held between trade unions and employer representatives, broke down late Wednesday evening. The employee side, led by unions including SuPer, Tehy, Erto, JHL, Talentia and Salli ry, walked out of the negotiations after failing to reach consensus with employer organisation Hyvinvointiala Hali ry.
