Helsinki’s Rautatientori metro station (Central Railway Station) will enter a two-year renovation in 2027, marking the second phase of a major refurbishment project at one of the capital’s busiest transport hubs. The works will run until 2029 and will cause significant disruption for metro users and pedestrians moving through the underground station complex. Despite the scale of the project, metro services will continue to operate through the station for the duration of the renovation.
