Snowfall and shifting temperatures ahead after prolonged cold

A prolonged spell of cold and dry winter weather across Finland is set to give way to more variable conditions during the week beginning 9 February, according to meteorologists from Foreca and the Finnish Meteorological Institute. High pressure that has dominated the country for weeks is moving south. In its wake, cloud cover and snowfall increase across large parts of Finland. Night-time temperatures remain low, while daytime conditions turn more unsettled.
